E-Freight is very active in EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) between multiple Trade and Shipping Entities. We have established links with all Carrier Portals to send Bookings (300), Shipping Instructions (304), and Receive Container Status Messages (315). We have developed generation of Event Messages (214) and Advanced Shipping Notifications (856) directly to Consignees and Customers. EDI is a big part in automating the business process, and can ensure data integrity as it moves across the supply chain. It will eliminate User Double Entry, thus eliminating mistakes that most businesses can ill afford, given many cargo security measures taken by International Customs.
